What first drew you to the VBCC?
The food! I had been to several banquets here
before and every time I loved what I ate.
What made you decide to book?
It ultimately came down to that the VBCC had everything I
wanted in a venue. We could get ready here, have the ceremony and reception
here and most importantly after researching the cost factor at different spaces
it really was the best value for our dollar.
What was your favorite part of
planning your wedding?
It was
kind of cool that people would get so excited for us!
What was the most challenging
part of planning your wedding?
Getting the RSVPs back!
What was the most memorable
moment of your wedding day (Groom)?
Dancing
with Renée and then with my mom
What was the most memorable
moment of your wedding day (Bride)?
There was
a moment when everyone was getting served their salads that I realized that I
was surrounded by pretty much all of my favorite people – they were in the same
place at the same time. And, they were happy! That was just awesome!
What was your favorite thing you
ate at your wedding reception?
I really enjoyed the barbecue quesadillas. The walnut
sage sauce on the chicken was amazing!
What is your favorite photo from
your wedding day?
What is your favorite part of
being married (Groom)?
I took Renée to my
office and I got to show her off as my wife!
What is your favorite part of
being married (Bride)?
We were engaged for
two years; it is nice that all that planning is done and now we can focus on
other things not just the wedding! And, being able to really call him husband! :)
Anything else you want to share?
Brides - If you wear a head piece, make sure
it is stretchy; I had a horrible headache from the headband; it eventually went
away, but there were a few rough hours before the aspirin kicked in and I was
able to get distracted enough to forget about it!
Be flexible! Plan for things to
not go 100% according to plan. Don’t forget to eat and breathe.
